Condition of not having resources to meet the daily basic needs like food or shelter. It’s a situation which is more than not having enough money. On different perspectives, that is social economic and political aspects, types of poverty include: absolute, relative, situational, generational, rural and urban. Absolute is an extreme type including scarcity of water, food, health, shelter etc and its uncommon in developed nations. Relative is comparing the living standards of people living in an area. Situational occurs during the time of environmental disaster or job loss. Generational is handed over from one to another generation. Rural occurs in areas with less population density, that is areas with less job opportunities, less access to services and education support. Urban occurs in metropolitan areas with an increased population. Causes vary from region to region on a global level. More information can be understood from the presentation slides.
