The Kerala SET exam is divided into two papers- Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper-1 cover questions based on the topics of general knowledge and teaching aptitude, which is common for all the candidates. Paper 2 is conducted in Political Science. Political science is the study of politics and power from domestic, international and comparative perspectives. It entails understanding political ideas, ideologies, institutions, policies, processes and behaviour as well as groups, classes, government, diplomacy, law, strategy and war. It is compulsory for candidates to appear for both papers. Objective multiple choice questions (MCQs) are asked in both papers. There is no negative marking. The medium of examination is English.
