The President of India approved the Consumer Protection Act on December 24, 1986, and it went into effect on December 24, 1986. The Act was enacted in order to raise consumer awareness of their rights. The main goal of this day is to protect consumers' rights and to ensure that they are not subjected to market abuse. The day also gives every consumer the opportunity to protect themselves from various forms of exploitation. Since then, December 24th has been observed as World Consumer Rights Day.
