Presentations | English

What is hazard and risk control? A hazard control program consists of all steps necessary to protect workers from exposure to a substance or system, the training and the procedures required to monitor worker exposure and their health to hazards such as chemicals, materials or substance or other types of hazards such as noise and vibration. There are mainly six types of hazards in workplace like safety hazards, biological hazards, physical hazards, ergonomic hazards, chemical hazards and workload hazards. Safety hazards can affect any employee but these are more likely to affect those who work with machinery or on a construction site. What are the possible risk control measures? This may include: eliminate the hazard, substitute the hazard with a lesser risk, isolate the hazard, use engineering controls, use administrative controls, use personal protective equipment etc.
