Women in Science

Presentations | English

Are the words "women" and "science" compatible enough together? Don't follow in someone else's footsteps; instead, pursue a distinct route and accomplish something remarkable. Never give in and accept the commonplace. Women have made significant contributions to the area of science throughout our colourful history. Some of the very intelligent people regarded as Women in science include Ada Lovelace, Rosalind Franklin, and Marie Curie. Less than 30% of researchers globally are women right now. Girls and women are being discouraged from careers in science because of ingrained prejudices and gender stereotypes. The United Nations General Assembly passed resolution A/RES/70/212 designating February 11 as International Day of Women and Girls in Science in order to ensure that women and girls have full and equal access to and participation in science.
