A close contacted device placed in contact with the surface of the skin can collect data regarding body signals. These devices are active trackers, example is the smartwatches which is connectable with a smartphone can act as fitness trackers, get notifications of sms, calls you receive on the phone, and also they are safety wearables. In situations, where you feel threatened or in danger, most of them can send alert to others by pressing a button. Uses are fitness monitoring, location tracking, view text messages quickly and so on. Most of them are hands-free and portable ensuring that we don't need to take the connected devices in everytime out of the pocket. Cons include less battery life and inaccuracy of data. In few years, this technology can be used by more individuals due to its popularity. Tracking physical activity can oneself set goals and progress in health.
