Vrishchika Poompulari' is a hindu devotional song from the album Ayyappa Ganangal volume 2 (1982). It was sung by K J Yesudas. It's lyrics and music composed by Alleppey Ranganath. Vrishchika vratham is the observance of Sanatana Dharma. It observes a period of one to 41 days. Hence it is also known as mandalavrata. The Vrishchika Mandala fast is famous for the fasting rituals for the Sri Sabarimala pilgrimage. It is an attempt to copy the concept of equality in life, which is only possible for the conscious. It is a scientific practice created to incorporate and adhere to the Indian culture of seeing God in all its forms.
അയ്യപ്പ ഗാനങ്ങൾ വാള്യം 2 (1982) എന്ന ആൽബത്തിലെ ഒരു ഹിന്ദു ഭക്തിഗാനമാണ് 'വൃശ്ചിക പൂമ്പുലരി'. പാടിയത് കെ ജെ യേശുദാസാണ്. ആലപ്പി രംഗനാഥാണ് ഇതിന്റെ വരികളും സംഗീതവും ഒരുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നത്. സനാതന ധർമ്മത്തിന്റെ ആചരണമാണ് വൃശ്ചിക വ്രതം. ഇത് ഒന്ന് മുതൽ 41 ദിവസം വരെയുള്ള കാലയളവ് നിരീക്ഷിക്കുന്നു. അതിനാൽ ഇത് മണ്ഡലവ്രത എന്നും അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു. വൃശ്ചിക മണ്ഡല വ്രതം ശ്രീ ശബരിമല തീർഥാടനത്തിനായുള്ള വ്രതാനുഷ്ഠാനങ്ങൾക്ക് പ്രസിദ്ധമാണ്. ബോധമുള്ളവർക്ക് മാത്രം സാധ്യമായ സമത്വം ജീവിതത്തിൽ പകർത്താനുള്ള ശ്രമമാണിത്. ഈശ്വരനെ അതിന്റെ എല്ലാ രൂപത്തിലും കാണുന്ന ഭാരതീയ സംസ്കാരത്തെ ഉൾക്കൊള്ളാനും മുറുകെ പിടിക്കാനും വേണ്ടി സൃഷ്ടിച്ച ഒരു ശാസ്ത്രീയ സമ്പ്രദായമാണിത്.
