A new word is like a fresh seed sown on the ground of discussion. It is a matter of word building and word using. Vocabulary enables us to analyse and express. People are often judged by their vocabulary, whether negative or positive. If you have a limited vocabulary, you will also have a limited vision and a limited future. Lack of vocabulary instruction might be a result of misconceptions about what it means to teach vocabulary and its potential effect on student learning. Vocabulary building is simply a matter of reviewing the words regularly. Reading is the biggest factor influencing vocabulary. Studies show that regular independent reading, and reading a rich variety of texts, provide the most positive impact on vocabulary. It is possible to earn a huge vocabulary without actually knowing how to use words. This means you have to take it upon yourself to put your dictionary into use. One of the best ways to increase vocabulary is through repetition. The time you spend improving your vocabulary skills is the time invested in your writing skills.
