Vigneshwara Janma Nalikeram Ninte' is a hindu devotional song from the album Pushpanjali (1981). It was sung by P Jayachandran. Paliyath Jayachandrakuttan, also known as P. Jayachandran or simply Jayachandran, is a Kerala-based Indian playback singer and classical musician. Jayachandran is most renowned for his seductive voice, which has earned him the title of Bhava Gayakan among the South Indian music community. The music was composed by PK Kesavan Namboothiri in Raga Naatta and the lyrics were written by S Rameshan Nair. The ritual of draining the water from the coconut via a small hole on the top and filling it with ghee is performed and it represents the mind being cleansed of worldly attachments and refilled with spiritual ambitions. The ghee-filled coconut, an offering for Lord Ayyappa, is known as the neyy-thenga.
പുഷ്പാഞ്ജലി (1981) എന്ന ആൽബത്തിലെ ഒരു ഹിന്ദു ഭക്തിഗാനമാണ് 'വിഘ്നേശ്വര ജന്മ നാളികേരം നിന്റെ'. പി ജയചന്ദ്രനാണ് പാടിയത്. പി. ജയചന്ദ്രൻ അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ലളിതമായി ജയചന്ദ്രൻ എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്ന പാലിയത്ത് ജയചന്ദ്രക്കുട്ടൻ, കേരളത്തിൽ നിന്നുള്ള ഒരു ഇന്ത്യൻ പിന്നണി ഗായകനും ശാസ്ത്രീയ സംഗീതജ്ഞനുമാണ്. തെന്നിന്ത്യൻ സംഗീത സമൂഹത്തിനിടയിൽ ഭാവഗായകൻ എന്ന പദവി നേടിക്കൊടുത്ത ജയചന്ദ്രൻ തന്റെ വശീകരണശബ്ദത്തിന് ഏറ്റവും പ്രശസ്തനാണ്. നാട്ടരാഗത്തിൽ പി കെ കേശവൻ നമ്പൂതിരി സംഗീതം പകർന്ന ഈ ഗാനത്തിന്റെ വരികൾ എഴുതിയത് എസ് രമേശൻ നായരാണ്. തേങ്ങയുടെ മുകളിലെ ഒരു ചെറിയ ദ്വാരത്തിലൂടെ വെള്ളം വറ്റിച്ച് അതിൽ നെയ്യ് നിറയ്ക്കുന്ന ചടങ്ങ് നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു, ഇത് മനസ്സിനെ ലൗകിക ബന്ധങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുകയും ആത്മീയ അഭിലാഷങ്ങളാൽ വീണ്ടും നിറയ്ക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. നെയ്യ് നിറച്ച നാളികേരം, അയ്യപ്പനുള്ള വഴിപാട് നെയ്യ് തേങ്ങ എന്നാണ് അറിയപ്പെടുന്നത്.
