"Vidhyarthini nhan oru vidyarthini nhan" is a song from the movie Kattukurangu is a 1969 Indian Malayalam film, directed by P. Bhaskaran and produced by Raveendranathan Nair. The film stars Sathyan, Sharada, Jayabharathi and Kaviyoor Ponnamma in the lead roles. Lyrics are written by P. Bhaskaran and music is composed by G. Devarajan. P Bhaskaran was awarded J. C. Daniel Award by the Government of Kerala for his overall contributions to the Malayalam cinema. P Susheela performed this song. In 1969, she was awarded the National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer. She was the first woman to get this coveted award, while Uyarndha Manidhan was the first film in that category to win a National Award. She is also regarded as one of the rich-voiced singers whose syllable pronunciation is highly clear and exact in any of the languages she has performed in.
"വിദ്യാർത്ഥിനി ഞാൻ ഒരു വിദ്യാർത്ഥിനി ഞാൻ" 1969-ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ ഒരു ഇന്ത്യൻ മലയാള ചലച്ചിത്രമായ കാട്ടുകുരങ്ങ് എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലെ ഒരു ഗാനമാണ്. പി. ഭാസ്കരൻ സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത് രവീന്ദ്രനാഥൻ നായർ നിർമ്മിച്ചതാണ് ഈ ചിത്രം. സത്യൻ, ശാരദ, ജയഭാരതി, കവിയൂർ പൊന്നമ്മ എന്നിവരാണ് ചിത്രത്തിലെ പ്രധാന കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളെ അവതരിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്. വരികൾ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നത് പി.ഭാസ്കരനും സംഗീതം നൽകിയത് ജി.ദേവരാജനും ആണ്. മലയാള സിനിമയ്ക്ക് നൽകിയ സമഗ്ര സംഭാവനകൾ പരിഗണിച്ച് പി ഭാസ്കരന് കേരള സർക്കാർ ജെ സി ഡാനിയൽ പുരസ്കാരം നൽകി ആദരിച്ചു. പി സുശീലയാണ് ഗാനം ആലപിച്ചത്. 1969-ൽ അവർക്ക് മികച്ച പിന്നണി ഗായികയ്ക്കുള്ള ദേശീയ ചലച്ചിത്ര പുരസ്കാരം ലഭിച്ചു. ഈ അഭിമാനകരമായ അവാർഡ് നേടുന്ന ആദ്യ വനിതയായിരുന്നു അവർ, ആ വിഭാഗത്തിൽ ദേശീയ അവാർഡ് നേടുന്ന ആദ്യ ചിത്രമാണ് ഉയർന്ന മണിധൻ. അവർ അവതരിപ്പിച്ച ഗാനങ്ങളിലൂടെ ഏത് ഭാഷയിലും വളരെ വ്യക്തവും കൃത്യവുമായ ഉച്ചാരണ സമ്പന്നമായ ശബ്ദമുള്ള ഗായികമാരിൽ ഒരാളായി അവരെ കണക്കാക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.
