"Velli Nakshathrame Ninne Nokki" is a song from the movie Ramanan. It was sung by K P Udayabhanu. The music was composed by K. Raghavan, while Changampuzha wrote the lyrics. D. M. Pottekkat wrote, directed, and produced Ramanan, a 1967 Malayalam romantic musical film. It's a cinematic adaptation of Changampuzha Krishna Pillai's poem Ramanan (1936). Prem Nazir and Sheela, the well-known on-screen couple, play the key roles in the film. Other notable characters include Madhu, Kottayam Chellappan, Kamaladevi, Meenakumari, Ramu Kariat, Adoor Bhasi, Usha Kumari, and Manavalan Joseph. The film was praised for its technical brilliance as well as the fact that it was an adaptation of an immortal poetical masterpiece, yet it was a box office disappointment.
രമണൻ എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലെ ഒരു ഗാനമാണ് "വെള്ളി നക്ഷത്രമേ നിന്നെ നോക്കി". കെ പി ഉദയഭാനുവാണ് പാടിയത്. ചങ്ങമ്പുഴ വരികൾ എഴുതിയപ്പോൾ സംഗീതം ഒരുക്കിയത് കെ. രാഘവനാണ്. ഡി എം പൊറ്റെക്കാട് 1967-ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ ഒരു മലയാളം പ്രണയ സംഗീത ചലച്ചിത്രമായ രമണൻ രചനയും സംവിധാനവും നിർമ്മാണവും നടത്തി. ചങ്ങമ്പുഴ കൃഷ്ണപിള്ളയുടെ രമണൻ (1936) എന്ന കവിതയുടെ ചലച്ചിത്രാവിഷ്കാരമാണിത്. സ്ക്രീനിലെ അറിയപ്പെടുന്ന ജോഡികളായ പ്രേം നസീറും ഷീലയും ചിത്രത്തിൽ പ്രധാന കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളെ അവതരിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. മധു, കോട്ടയം ചെല്ലപ്പൻ, കമലാദേവി, മീനാകുമാരി, രാമു കാര്യാട്ട്, അടൂർ ഭാസി, ഉഷാകുമാരി, മണവാളൻ ജോസഫ് എന്നിവരാണ് മറ്റ് ശ്രദ്ധേയമായ കഥാപാത്രങ്ങൾ. അനശ്വര കാവ്യാത്മക മാസ്റ്റർപീസിൻറെ അനുകരണം എന്നതിനൊപ്പം സാങ്കേതിക വൈദഗ്ധ്യത്താലും ചിത്രം പ്രശംസിക്കപ്പെട്ടു.
