“Veene veene maniveene” is a song sung by P Madhuri for the movie Nattuchaykirutt. This song was penned by Devadas and composed by G Devarajan. The film actors Sheela, Sreelatha Namboothiri, Kundara Johny and Meena Menon did the lead character roles in the movie. Sheela is an Indian film actress and director who appears predominantly in Malayalam films. In 2019, Sheela was honoured with the J C Daniel Award which is Kerala government’s highest honour for outstanding contribution to Malayalam film industry.
നട്ടുച്ചയ്ക്കിരുട്ട് എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിന് വേണ്ടി പി മാധുരി പാടിയ ഗാനമാണ് “വീണേ വീണേ മണിവീണേ”. ദേവദാസിന്റെ രചനയിൽ ജി ദേവരാജനാണ് ഈ ഗാനം രചിച്ചത്. ഷീല, ശ്രീലത നമ്പൂതിരി, കുണ്ടറ ജോണി, മീന മേനോൻ എന്നിവരാണ് ചിത്രത്തിലെ പ്രധാന കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളെ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചത്. പ്രധാനമായും മലയാള സിനിമകളിൽ പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെടുന്ന ഒരു ഇന്ത്യൻ ചലച്ചിത്ര നടിയും സംവിധായികയുമാണ് ഷീല. 2019-ൽ ഷീലയെ മലയാള ചലച്ചിത്ര വ്യവസായത്തിനുള്ള മികച്ച സംഭാവനയ്ക്കുള്ള കേരള സർക്കാരിന്റെ പരമോന്നത ബഹുമതിയായ ജെ സി ഡാനിയൽ അവാർഡ് നൽകി ആദരിച്ചു.
