" Vanavum Bhoomiyum" is a song from the movie Oru penninte kadha. E. Moses wrote the script, and K. S. Sethumadhavan directed the film. The plot of the film is based on the Hollywood blockbuster 'The Visit'. P Leela was the singer of this song. Lyrics were written by Vayalar Ramavarma and the music was composed by G Devarajan. In this movie Savitri (Sheela) was raped by Thampi (Sathyan) and she becomes pregnant, but Thampi disowns her. After giving birth to a child, Savithri leaves town. Thampi marries Subhadra (Kaviyoor Ponnamma) and they have a daughter named Sreedevi together (Junior Sheela). Thampi's mismanagement of the firm leads in massive losses. Gayathri Devi, a wealthy woman from Bombay, purchases Thampi's estate and property. Thampi runs for the Assembly and is defeated. Raghavan, a Gayathri Devi nominee, is the winner. Thampi writes Gayathri Devi a letter in which he informs Sreedevi that the child he adopted from the hospital is her own daughter. Gayathri Devi transfers all of her assets to Sreedevi, but Sreedevi refuses, and Gayathri Devi returns to Bombay.
