Vadakkathi pennale.... is a folk song from the movie "Purappaadu" released in 1983. The film was directed by Rajeevnath. The lyrics of the song was written by Kavalam Narayana Panicker and the great poet himself has composed the music too. His son Kavalam Sreekumar originally sang the song capturing all the beauty of the folk music in its lines.
