Sarpam is a Malayalam film directed by Baby and produced by Dhanya that was released in 1979. " Vadaka veedozhinnu" is a song from this movie. Vidhubala, Prem Nazir, Jayan, Jagathy Sreekumar, and Kaviyoor Ponnamma feature in the film. K. J. Joy composed the film's soundtrack. The lyrics were written by Bichu Thirumala. P Susheela was the singer of this song. Bichu Thirumala was a poet and lyricist from India. Bichu Thirumala was the leader of a group of lyricists in Malayalam film who penned songs for pre-recorded music. He was twice awarded the Kerala state f award for best lyricist.
ബേബി സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത് ധന്യ നിർമ്മിച്ച് 1979-ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ മലയാളചലച്ചിത്രമാണ് സർപ്പം."വാടക വീടൊഴിഞ്ഞു" എന്ന ഗാനം ഈ ചിത്രത്തിലെതാണ്. വിധുബാല, പ്രേം നസീർ, ജയൻ, ജഗതി ശ്രീകുമാർ, കവിയൂർ പൊന്നമ്മ എന്നിവർ ചിത്രത്തിലെ പ്രധാന കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളെ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു. കെ.ജെ. ജോയ് സംഗീതം പകർന്നു. ബിച്ചു തിരുമലയാണ് വരികൾ എഴുതിയത്. ഈ ഗാനത്തിന്റെ ഗായിക പി സുശീലയായിരുന്നു. ഇന്ത്യയിൽ നിന്നുള്ള ഒരു കവിയും ഗാനരചയിതാവുമായിരുന്നു ബിച്ചു തിരുമല. മലയാള സിനിമയിലെ ഒരു കൂട്ടം ഗാനരചയിതാക്കളുടെ നേതാവായിരുന്നു ബിച്ചു തിരുമല. മികച്ച ഗാനരചയിതാവിനുള്ള കേരളസംസ്ഥാന ചലച്ചിത്രപുരസ്കാരം അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് രണ്ടുതവണ ലഭിച്ചു.
