Urban Problems Related to Energy

Presentations | English

Energy can be found in many things and can take different forms. In physics, energy is the quantitative property that must be transferred to a body or physical system to perform work on the body, or to heat it. Energy is a conserved quantity; the law of conservation of energy states that energy can be converted in form, but not created or destroyed. Our Mother Earth is currently facing a lot of environmental concerns. Traditional housing in India required very little temperature regulations as the material used, such as wood and bricks, handled temperature changes better than the current concrete, glass and steel of ultra-modern building. Urban life requires massive quantities of energy. Different from rural areas, the urban limits are densely populated and consume energy and materials. This would in turn generate enormous waste. As the urban growth is mostly unplanned managing it becomes difficult and in turn results in crisis. The presentation gives in-depth knowledge on the topic.
