UPSC NDA & NA 2017 examination has two papers: General Ability and Mathematics. The total score of Mathematics paper is 300 marks. Some of the important topics in this paper are algebra, calculus, trigonometry, statistics and so on. The total time duration given to attend the Mathematics paper is 2 and a half hours. For each negative marking, one by third or 33% marks are deducted from the total score. The syllabus includes Determinants and Matrices from Algebra, Analytical Geometry of two and three dimensions from Trigonometry, Statistics and Probability from Vector Algebra, Integral Calculus and Differential Equations from Differential Calculus.
