P. Bhaskaran directed Udayam, a 1973 Indian Malayalam film. Madhu, Sharada, Adoor Bhasi, and Prem Prakash play the lead roles in the film. V. Dakshinamoorthy composed the film's music. Pulloottupadathu Bhaskaran, also known as P. Bhaskaran, was a Malayalam poet, lyricist of Malayalam film songs, and filmmaker who lived from April 21, 1924, to February 25, 2007. He wrote almost 3000 songs for over 250 films. He has produced six feature films and acted in various movies while directing 44 Malayalam feature films and three documentaries. The Government of Kerala honoured him with the J. C. Daniel Award for his contributions to Malayalam cinema.
1973-ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ ഒരു ഇന്ത്യൻ മലയാളം ചലച്ചിത്രമായ ഉദയം സംവിധാനം ചെയ്തത് പി. ഭാസ്കരനാണ്. മധു, ശാരദ, അടൂർ ഭാസി, പ്രേം പ്രകാശ് എന്നിവരാണ് ചിത്രത്തിലെ പ്രധാന കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളെ അവതരിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്. വി.ദക്ഷിണാമൂർത്തിയാണ് ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ സംഗീതം ഒരുക്കിയത്. 1924 ഏപ്രിൽ 21 മുതൽ 2007 ഫെബ്രുവരി 25 വരെ ജീവിച്ചിരുന്ന ഒരു മലയാള കവിയും മലയാള ചലച്ചിത്ര ഗാനരചയിതാവും ചലച്ചിത്ര നിർമ്മാതാവും ആയിരുന്നു പി. ഭാസ്കരൻ എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്ന പുല്ലൂട്ടുപാടത്ത് ഭാസ്കരൻ. 250-ലധികം സിനിമകൾക്കായി ഏകദേശം 3000 ഗാനങ്ങൾ അദ്ദേഹം രചിച്ചു. 44 മലയാളം ഫീച്ചർ ഫിലിമുകളും മൂന്ന് ഡോക്യുമെന്ററികളും സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത അദ്ദേഹം ആറ് ഫീച്ചർ ഫിലിമുകൾ നിർമ്മിക്കുകയും വിവിധ സിനിമകളിൽ അഭിനയിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ട്. മലയാള സിനിമയ്ക്ക് നൽകിയ സംഭാവനകൾ പരിഗണിച്ച് കേരള സർക്കാർ അദ്ദേഹത്തെ ജെ സി ഡാനിയൽ അവാർഡ് നൽകി ആദരിച്ചു.
