"Thumbi thumbi vaa vaa ee" is a song from the movie Koodappirappu sung by Shantha P Nair, a playback singer in Malayalam cinema. Under the banner of Kadeeja Production, Rasheed produced and directed Koodappirappu, a 1956 Malayalam film directed by J. D. Thottan. Muthukulam Raghavan Pillai is the author of the narrative. This is Vayalar Rama Varma's first debut as lyricist. Vayalar created a space for himself in Malayalam cinema later on. He went on to win the State award three times for best lyricist, as well as the National prize in 1974.b Vayalar Ramavarma, popularly known as Vayalar, was a Malayalam poet and lyricist from India. K Raghavan composed it's music and Vayalar Ramavarma wrote the lyrics. Raghavan master is often credited for the renaissance of Malayalam film music.
മലയാള സിനിമയിലെ പിന്നണി ഗായിക ശാന്ത പി നായർ ആലപിച്ച കൂടപ്പിറപ്പ് എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലെ ഒരു പ്രശസ്ത ഗാനമാണ് "തുമ്പി തുമ്പി വാ വാ ഈ" എന്നു തുടങ്ങുന്ന ഈ ഗാനം. കദീജ പ്രൊഡക്ഷന്റെ ബാനറിൽ, റഷീദ് നിർമ്മിച്ച് സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത കൂടപ്പിറപ്പ്, 1956-ൽ ജെ.ഡി തോറ്റൻ സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത മലയാളചലച്ചിത്രമാണ്. മുതുകുളം രാഘവൻ പിള്ളയാണ് ആഖ്യാനത്തിന്റെ രചയിതാവ്. ഗാനരചയിതാവായി വയലാർ രാമവർമ്മയുടെ ആദ്യ അരങ്ങേറ്റമാണിത്. വയലാർ പിന്നീട് മലയാള സിനിമയിൽ തന്റേതായ ഇടം സൃഷ്ടിച്ചു. മികച്ച ഗാനരചയിതാവിനുള്ള സംസ്ഥാന അവാർഡും 1974-ൽ ദേശീയ പുരസ്കാരവും മൂന്ന് തവണ അദ്ദേഹം നേടി. ബി വയലാർ എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്ന വയലാർ രാമവർമ, ഇന്ത്യയിൽ നിന്നുള്ള ഒരു മലയാള കവിയും ഗാനരചയിതാവുമായിരുന്നു. വയലാർ രാമവർമ എഴുതിയ വരികൾക്ക് കെ രാഘവൻ സംഗീതം പകർന്നു. മലയാള ചലച്ചിത്ര സംഗീതത്തിന്റെ നവോത്ഥാനത്തിന് രാഘവൻ മാസ്റ്ററെ വിശേഷിപ്പിക്കാറുണ്ട്.
