Among the various storytelling forms prevalent in Andhra Pradesh, Tholubommalata, or leather puppetry is quite famous. This presentation brings to you a historic perception of the art form, tracing its roots to as far back as the Chalukya kingdom, the making of the puppets from leather obtained from various animals, the setting up of the screen for the actual storytelling, as well as the way in which the story is narrated.
