Theyyaka theyyaka thalam is a Malayalam song in the movie Sarapanjaram. Sarapancharam is a 1977 Malayalam-language drama film written and directed by Hariharan based on a narrative by Malayattoor Ramakrishnan. G. Devarajan composed the music, while Yusufali Kechery penned the lyrics. Yusufali Kechery was an Indian poet, cinema lyricist, producer, and director who lived in Kerala. He won the Odakkuzhal Award, the Kerala Sahitya Academy Award, and the Vallathol Award during the modern era of Malayalam poetry. Paliyath Jayachandrakuttan, also known as P. Jayachandran or simply Jayachandran, is a Kerala-based Indian playback singer and classical musician. The song was sung by Jayachandran who is most renowned for his seductive voice, which has earned him the title of Bhava Gayakan among the South Indian music community. P. Madhuri added her magical voice along with Jayachandran.
ശരപഞ്ജരം എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലെ ഒരു മലയാളം ഗാനമാണ് തെയ്യക്കാ തെയ്യക താളം. മലയാറ്റൂർ രാമകൃഷ്ണന്റെ ആഖ്യാനത്തെ അടിസ്ഥാനമാക്കി ഹരിഹരൻ രചനയും സംവിധാനവും നിർവഹിച്ച് 1977-ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ മലയാളം നാടക ചലച്ചിത്രമാണ് ശരപഞ്ചരം. ജി.ദേവരാജൻ സംഗീതം പകർന്നപ്പോൾ യൂസഫലി കേച്ചേരി വരികൾ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നു. കേരളത്തിൽ ജീവിച്ചിരുന്ന ഒരു ഇന്ത്യൻ കവിയും സിനിമാ ഗാനരചയിതാവും നിർമ്മാതാവും സംവിധായകനുമായിരുന്നു യൂസഫലി കേച്ചേരി. മലയാള കവിതയുടെ ആധുനിക കാലഘട്ടത്തിൽ ഓടക്കുഴൽ അവാർഡ്, കേരള സാഹിത്യ അക്കാദമി അവാർഡ്, വള്ളത്തോൾ അവാർഡ് എന്നിവ നേടിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. പി. ജയചന്ദ്രൻ അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ലളിതമായി ജയചന്ദ്രൻ എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്ന പാലിയത്ത് ജയചന്ദ്രക്കുട്ടൻ, കേരളത്തിൽ നിന്നുള്ള ഒരു ഇന്ത്യൻ പിന്നണി ഗായകനും ശാസ്ത്രീയ സംഗീതജ്ഞനുമാണ്. തെന്നിന്ത്യൻ സംഗീത സമൂഹത്തിനിടയിൽ ഭാവഗായകൻ എന്ന പദവി നേടിക്കൊടുത്ത മോഹന ശബ്ദത്തിന് ഏറ്റവും പ്രശസ്തനായ ജയചന്ദ്രനാണ് ഈ ഗാനം ആലപിച്ചത്. ജയചന്ദ്രനൊപ്പം പി.മാധുരി തന്റെ മാന്ത്രിക ശബ്ദം ചേർത്തു.
