1959 ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ "നാടോടികൾ"എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലെ ഒരു ഗാനമാണ് "തെക്കുതെക്കു തെക്കുചെന്നൊരു പെണ്ണിനെക്കണ്ടു". പി.ഭാസ്കരന്റെ വരികൾക്ക് വി.ദക്ഷിണാമൂർത്തിയുടെ സംഗീതം. ഈ ഗാനം ആലപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത് മെഹ്ബൂബ്. ചന്ദ്രതാരാ പ്രൊഡക്ഷൻസിന്റെ ബാനറിൽ ടി.കെ.പരീക്കുട്ടി നിർമ്മിച്ച് എസ്.രാമനാഥൻ കഥ എഴുതി എൻ.എൻ.പിഷാരടി തിരക്കഥയും സംഭാഷണവും രചിച്ചു എസ്.രാമനാഥൻ ആണ് ഈ ചിത്രം സംവിധാനം ചെയ്തത്. പ്രേം നവാസ് നായക വേഷം അവതരിപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നു.
