Gollasuddulu is one of the many distinct and spectacular storytelling art forms from the Telugu lands. This was traditionally practiced by the clan called the ‘gollalu’ who were cattle herders. This storytelling technique employs the use of a long cloth on which scenes in the story are painted. The entire cloth is wrapped around a stick and held up like a curtain rod. As the story progresses, the cloth is unraveled and the story told.
