Kotipalli, a village in the East Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh, is a renowned pilgrim centre. The place is also known as Koti Theertham as it is home to numerous temples. (Koti in Telugu means a crore.) The most famous temple here houses Someswara Swamy with his consort Sri Chayadevi, Koteswara Swamy with his consort, and Janardhana Swamy with his consorts Sri Devi and Bhudevi. According to local legend and related mythology, these idols were installed here by Indra, Chandra, and Kasyapa Mahamuni.
