Nestled in a small and beautiful forested area, near the Muthyampeta village in Jagityala District of Telangana is the pilgrimage centre of Kondagattu Anjaneya Swamy. It is believed that when Hanuman was carrying the Sanjeevani Mountain from the Himalayas to Sri Lanka, a part of the mountain fell at this spot in Telangana.
