Alampur, a small town in the Mahabubnagar District of Telanagana is also known as ‘Dakshina Kasi’ or ‘Kasi of the South’. This town is located at a distance of around 200 kms from Hyderabad, and 25 kms from the town of Kurnool, on the banks of River Tungabhadra. Alampur is famous for its many temples. Prominent among these are the Jogulamba Temple, the Navabrahma Temple, the Sangameswara Temple and the Paapanaasi Temple. This two-part presentation brings to you fascinating information on the history and construction styles of the temples, as well as the various legends and myths associated with them.
