The Nizams were the last princely rulers of the state of Hyderabad before it became a part of the Indian Republic. This presentation brings to you a brief overview of the beginnings of the dynasty, the various Nizam rulers and their regime. It also presents the story of how the state of Hyderabad, despite initial reluctance, eventually merged into the Indian National Republic, the Operation Polo conducted by the Indian Army and the role Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel had in coaxing the Nizam to join the Indian Republic.
