The Banjaras are a distinct group of people found in Telangana. Also known as the Lambadas or the Sugaalis, they are traditionally nomadic people, with a unique dress code, language and lifestyle. Once easily distinguishable by their mirrored dresses and heavy metal jewellery, they have now mostly left behind their nomadic lives and culture in exchange for a settled life and common dress code.
