Technical account managers assist clients with a product’s technical aspects. They inform and train clients in the product’s proper use to enhance the customer experience and improve satisfaction. Additionally, they cooperate with the sales team to refine the sales process and ensure customer loyalty. A person hoping to become a Technical Account Manager must, generally, have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or a similar subject. They must also have some experience working in sales and technical support and must have a good understanding of both. Technical account managers play an important role in winning sales. They are responsible for analysing prospects’ business and technical requirements and developing solutions that meet those needs. In some cases, they may work with product development teams to customize products for individual customers.
