Teacher Skills for Self Reflection

Presentations | English

Self-reflection is the capability to think about past events a person has handled and understanding how he could have improved or changed the actions and decisions. Self-reflection helps the teachers in a lot of ways like aiding professional development, improving relationships, improving decision making, etc. Three specific skills that contribute to the habit of self-reflection in teachers are Openness, Observation and Objectivity. Openness is the potential to see things for what they are. Observation is the capability to see yourself in the same way you see external events-with perspective and distance. Objectivity is the capability to distinguish thoughts, feelings, and behaviors from the identity and sense of an individual. How are these skills useful for teachers? How can they be inculcated? Know of all these in this presentation.
