Ta-Ha

Audio | English

"The twentieth Surah is titled Ta-Ha. Comprising of a total of 135 verses (ayah) divided into 8 Rukus or Sections. The title of the Surah was derived from the very first verse of the 20th Surah itself. This Surah was also revealed in Mecca, around the same time as the 19th Surah was revealed when there was more socio-economic restrictions and regulations than verbal abuse depicted by the oppositions of the Meccans. This was also the time during when the Muslims started migrating to the country of Abyssinia. According to Islamic beleif, it is the recitation of the twentieth Surah (Ta-Ha) by the sister of Umar (Meccans appointed Umar to kill the the Prophet Muhammad), that eventually led to his conversion to Islam. The main theme of the Quran lies behind the aspect of Prophet Muhammad's assurance to his followers that the message of Quran will find success."
