P Susheela contributed her magical voice to the beautiful malayalam song 'Swapnathil enne vannu nulliyunarthiya' for the movie Kathirunna Nikah. The Guinness Book of World Records and the Asia Book of Records have both acknowledged her for playing a record amount of songs in various Indian languages. She's also won five National Film Awards for Best Female Playback Singer, as well as a slew of state honours. It is a 1965 Indian Malayalam film, directed by M. Krishnan Nair and produced by M. Raju Mathan. The film stars Prem Nazir, Sheela, Adoor Bhasi and Thikkurissi Sukumaran Nair in the lead roles. The music was composed by G. Devarajan and the lyrics were written by Vayalar Ramavarma. Prem Nazir as Kabir and Sheela as Laila taking the roles in this movie.
കാത്തിരുന്ന നിക്കാഹ് എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലെ 'സ്വപ്നത്തിൽ എന്നെ വന്നു നുള്ളിയുണർത്തിയാ' എന്ന മനോഹരമായ മലയാളം ഗാനത്തിന് പി സുശീല തന്റെ മാന്ത്രിക ശബ്ദം നൽകി. ഗിന്നസ് ബുക്ക് ഓഫ് വേൾഡ് റെക്കോർഡ്സും ഏഷ്യ ബുക്ക് ഓഫ് റെക്കോർഡ്സും വിവിധ ഇന്ത്യൻ ഭാഷകളിൽ റെക്കോർഡ് തുകയ്ക്ക് ഗാനങ്ങൾ ആലപിച്ചതിന് അവളെ അംഗീകരിച്ചു. മികച്ച പിന്നണി ഗായികയ്ക്കുള്ള അഞ്ച് ദേശീയ ചലച്ചിത്ര അവാർഡുകളും സംസ്ഥാന ബഹുമതികളും അവർ നേടിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. എം. കൃഷ്ണൻ നായർ സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത് എം. രാജു മത്തൻ നിർമ്മിച്ച 1965-ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ ഒരു ഇന്ത്യൻ മലയാളം ചിത്രമാണിത്. പ്രേം നസീർ, ഷീല, അടൂർ ഭാസി, തിക്കുറിശ്ശി സുകുമാരൻ നായർ എന്നിവരാണ് ചിത്രത്തിലെ പ്രധാന കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളെ അവതരിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്. വയലാർ രാമവർമ എഴുതിയ വരികൾക്ക് സംഗീതം നൽകിയത് ജി.ദേവരാജനാണ്. കബീറായി പ്രേം നസീറും ലൈലയായി ഷീലയും ഈ ചിത്രത്തിൽ വേഷമിടുന്നു.
