Sthree (Woman) is a 1950 Malayalam film directed by R. Velappan Nair and written by Thikkurissi Sukumaran Nair. Thikkurissy Sukumaran Nair (October 16, 1916 – March 11, 1997) was an Indian poet, playwright, script writer, lyricist, orator, film director, and actor, best known for his work in Malayalam cinema. He was awarded the Padma Shri by the Indian government, which is one of the country's highest civilian honours. He appeared in nearly 700 films during the course of his 47-year career. He is known as the "First Superstar of Mollywood." In 1993, he received the J. C. Daniel Award, the highest honour bestowed by the Kerala government for contributions to Malayalam cinema.
തിക്കുറിശ്ശി സുകുമാരൻ നായരുടെ രചനയിൽ ആർ. വേലപ്പൻ നായർ സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത് 1950-ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ ഒരു മലയാളചലച്ചിത്രമാണ് സ്ത്രീ (സ്ത്രീ). തിക്കുറിശ്ശി സുകുമാരൻ നായർ (ഒക്ടോബർ 16, 1916 - മാർച്ച് 11, 1997) ഒരു ഇന്ത്യൻ കവി, നാടകകൃത്ത്, തിരക്കഥാകൃത്ത്, ഗാനരചയിതാവ്, വാഗ്മി, ചലച്ചിത്ര സംവിധായകൻ, നടൻ എന്നിവരായിരുന്നു. രാജ്യത്തെ പരമോന്നത സിവിലിയൻ ബഹുമതികളിൽ ഒന്നായ ഇന്ത്യൻ സർക്കാർ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് പത്മശ്രീ നൽകി ആദരിച്ചു. 47 വർഷത്തെ കരിയറിൽ 700-ഓളം ചിത്രങ്ങളിൽ അദ്ദേഹം പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെട്ടു. "മോളിവുഡിലെ ആദ്യ സൂപ്പർസ്റ്റാർ" എന്നാണ് അദ്ദേഹം അറിയപ്പെടുന്നത്. 1993-ൽ, മലയാള സിനിമയ്ക്ക് നൽകിയ സംഭാവനകൾക്ക് കേരള സർക്കാർ നൽകുന്ന പരമോന്നത ബഹുമതിയായ ജെ.സി.ഡാനിയേൽ അവാർഡ് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് ലഭിച്ചു.
