Stages of Employee Empowerment

Presentations | English

"Employee empowerment is a company culture. Increased trust, effective communication, and strategic delegating are all required. Delegating to relieve yourself of drudge labor is frequently myopic, and you're missing out on an opportunity to build and empower your team. Instead, delegate with the goal of expanding and developing your workers' talents and responsibilities. Define the parameters within which your employee may behave freely. Setting explicit expectations (but not micromanaging them) allows your staff to make decisions while yet ensuring that they are in accordance with the company's aims. It's fine if an employee doesn't utilize the same methods you do to get from point A to point B. Accept that when you delegate, the employee may do the work differently than you would. Accept that your method may not be the only (or best) way to finish a project by relinquishing control, refraining from micromanaging, and accepting that your way may not be the only (or best) way to do it. Many executives lament the fact that when they initially begin adopting employee empowerment initiatives in their businesses, people still come to their offices expecting their issues to be miraculously fixed. Offer tools, resources, and a sounding board for ideas instead."
