The most useful vocabulary words are those that you can almost instantly recall and use. After all, learning vocabulary is only useful if you can actually use it in a piece of writing and, more importantly, if you can use it correctly. If you ask a published author for writing advice, they'll probably tell you that it's better to use common words correctly rather than complex words incorrectly. Fortunately, one of the most important advantages of having a larger vocabulary is the ability to use both common and complex words with equal precision. We need to be having an exquisite vocabulary in all fields and many a times we forget that we need certain basic speaking phrases to get by!
