Sources of Energy

Presentations | English

Primary energy sources include nuclear energy, fossil energy (such as oil, coal, and natural gas), and renewable energy sources such as wind, sun, geothermal, and hydropower. These main sources are turned to electricity, a secondary energy source that travels to your house and company via power lines and other transmission infrastructure. A renewable energy source is energy that is sustainable - something that never runs out or is infinite, such as the sun. When the word ""alternative energy"" is used, it typically refers to renewable energy sources as well. It refers to energy sources that are non-sustainable in comparison to the most widely utilised non-sustainable sources, such as coal. One of our planet's most plentiful and freely available energy resources is sunlight. The quantity of solar energy that reaches the Earth's surface in one hour exceeds the planet's overall energy requirements for a whole year.
