"Soothradharaa parayoo" is a malayalam song from the album Manaveeyam. G Devarajan master composed the music and O N V Kurup wrote the lyrics. Kalamandalam Haridas was the singer of this song. Kalamandalam Haridas was an evocative interpretation of the padams, or playback songs, for the characters in the classical Kerala dance-drama. In 1960, he entered Kerala Kalamandalam and studied music with Kalamandalam Neelakantan Nambisan, Sivaraman Nair, and Kalamandalam Gangadharan Nair, among others. When Kalamandalam Gangadharan became an instructor at the institution, he was his first student. During his time in Kalamandalam, Haridas was noted for having a gifted student. Haridas has acted in two Malayalam feature films and also appeared in a few television serials. When assessing his musical career, the most significant element to note is the focus he has placed on characterization in kathakali.
