Solar System

Presentations | English

"One of the 500+ known solar systems in our universe, our solar system was formed about 4.5 billion years ago. Located in the Milky way’s Orion star cluster is our own sun with 8 planets revolving around it owing to gravity. In the sequence of closest to farthest from the sun, the plants are- Mercury (the smallest), Venus (the hottest), Earth, Mars, Jupiter (the largest planet), Saturn (second largest planet), Uranus and Neptune. The first four planet closest to the sun have solid surfaces, no rings, small number of moons and are relatively smaller- they are called terrestrial planets. The last four planets have no solid surface, can support ring systems, have multiple moons and are gigantic – they are called Jovian planets. Jupiter and Saturn are Gas Giants whereas Uranus and Neptune are Ice Giants, names owing to their composition."
