Solar System

Presentations | English

Has the time surpassed, for the Human race to enter the Solar System? The Solar System is the gravitationally bound system of the Sun and the objects that orbit it, either directly or indirectly. Of the objects that orbit the Sun directly, the largest are the eight planets, with the remainder being smaller objects, the dwarf planets, and small Solar System bodies. The order of the planets in the solar system, starting nearest the sun and working outward is the following: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and then the possible Planet Nine. Our solar system is just one specific planetary system—a star with planets orbiting around it. Our planetary system is the only one officially called the “solar system,” but astronomers have discovered more than 3,200 other stars with planets orbiting them in our galaxy. That's just how many scientists have found so far. It is 143.73 billion km from the Sun, thus giving the Solar System a diameter of 287.46 billion km.
