Several variables are involved in soil corrosion. This is a complex phenomenon. It happens when soil reacts with certain chemicals. Moisture content, soil resistivity, dissolved oxygen, temperature and microbial activity are some factors affecting soil corrosion. The level of sulphates and salt may also affect. The most common type of corrosion is Uniform Corrosion. An attack across the surface of a material is called Uniform Corrosion. Pitting, crevice and intergranular are different types of Corrosion. This phenomenon adversely affect ground water. All lives on planet depend on soil. Science helps us study about this most significant component. A more clear explanation can be found in the presentation. Please have a look.
