Software Quality Management

Presentations | English

Software Quality Management (SQM) is the management aspects of developing quality software. SQM begins when an idea for a product gets planted on someone’s head and then continues on through the design, testing, and launch phases. SQM can be classified into three phases namely Quality planning, Quality assurance and Quality control. Quality Planning takes place even before software development begins. Quality planning urges the developer to meet the objectives and goals that are set by testers. Quality planning is considered the most crucial aspect of SQM, since it develops a conclusive blueprint for the rest of the process to be followed. The quality assurance phase of SQM involves the actual developing of the software program ensuring the quality and standards at each turns. Quality control is the step of SQM where testers discover bugs, evaluate functionality, and more. A proper software quality management plan can guarantee the production of high quality products.
