The Delhi Sultans' is the 3rd chapter in the class 7 NCERT social science textbook, ‘Our Pasts - II’. Delhi became an important city only in the 12th century. Delhi first became the capital of a kingdom under the Tomara Rajputs. Under the Tomaras and Chauhans, it became an important commercial centre.
