Here we go with the presentation on the topic People’s Revolt. Part 2 of this presentation talks about the background, the nature and causes of the outbreak of the Revolt of 1857, its effects, and consequences. By the first half of the 19th century, the East India Company had brought major portions of India under its control. During this period, the South Indian Palayakarars and others fought against the British. We also get to know about the Vellore revolution, that predated the Great Rebellion of 1857.
