Shilpa Kala or Art Sculpture: - Sculptures are made by transforming hard or flexible materials. Commonly used materials for making sculptures include stone, metal, wood, and clay. Carvings and sculptures are made using stone and wood. When made from other materials, various processes are used, such as gluing, melting, pressing on molds, and baking by hand. ശില്പകല:- കാഠിന്യമുള്ളതോ വഴക്കമുള്ളതോ ആയ വസ്തുക്കൾ രൂപമാറ്റം വരുത്തിയാണ് ശില്പങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നത് . ശില്പങ്ങൾ നിർമ്മിക്കാൻ സാധാരണയായി ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന വസ്തുക്കളിൽ കല്ലുകൾ, ലോഹം, മരം, കളിമണ്ണ് എന്നിവ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നു. കല്ല്, മരം മുതലായവ ഉപയോഗിക്കുമ്പോൾ കൊത്തുപണികൾ ചെയ്ത് ശില്പങ്ങൾ നിർമ്മിക്കുന്നു. മറ്റ് വസ്തുക്കളിൽ നിന്ന് നിർമ്മിക്കുമ്പോൾ, ഒട്ടിക്കൽ, ഉരുക്കൽ, അച്ചുകളിൽ അമർത്തൽ, കൈകൊണ്ട് ചുട്ടെടുക്കൽ എന്നിങ്ങനെ വിവിധ പ്രക്രിയകൾ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നു. ദൃശ്യകലയിലെ ഒരു ത്രിമാന ശാഖയാണ് ശില്പകല. ഏത് വസ്തുവിലും ശില്പനിർമ്മാണം പ്രായോഗികമാക്കുന്ന തരത്തിൽ സാങ്കേതിക വിദ്യകൾ ഇരുപതാം നൂറ്റാണ്ടിൽ നിലവിൽ വന്നു. പ്രശസ്തരായ കേരളീയ ശിൽ‌പികൾ കാനായി കുഞ്ഞിരാമൻ,എം.വി. ദേവൻ എന്നിവരാണ്.
