“Sringara Ponkinnam” song was sung by Vani Jayaram for the malayalam movie Alavudheenum Albhutha Vilakkum. This song was composed by G. Devarajan. The lyrics for this beautiful song was written by Yusufali Kechery, while the lyrics for the Tamil version were written by Vaali and Kannadasan. It was released in 1979. It is basically an Indian fantasy film directed by I. V. Sasi based on Aladdin’s story from One Thousand and One Nights. It was filmed in both Malayalam and Tamil.
അലാവുദീനും അൽഭുത വിളക്കും എന്ന മലയാള ചിത്രത്തിന് വേണ്ടി വാണി ജയറാം പാടിയ ഗാനമാണ് ശൃംഗാര പൊൻകിണ്ണം. ഈ ഗാനം ചിട്ടപ്പെടുത്തിയത് ജി.ദേവരാജനാണ്. ഈ മനോഹരമായ ഗാനത്തിന്റെ വരികൾ എഴുതിയത് യൂസഫലി കേച്ചേരിയും തമിഴ് പതിപ്പിന്റെ വരികൾ എഴുതിയത് വാലിയും കണ്ണദാസനും ചേർന്നാണ്. ഇത് 1979-ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങി. ആയിരത്തൊന്നു രാവുകളിൽ നിന്നുള്ള അലാദ്ദീന്റെ കഥയെ അടിസ്ഥാനമാക്കി ഐ.വി.ശശി സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത ഒരു ഇന്ത്യൻ ഫാന്റസി ചിത്രമാണിത്. ഇത് മലയാളത്തിലും തമിഴിലുമായി ചിത്രീകരിച്ചു.
