Sraavana Chandrika is a song from the movie Oru Penninte Katha which is a Malayalam film released in 1971. It was written by E. Moses and directed by K. S. Sethumadhavan. The plot of the film is based on the Hollywood blockbuster The Visit (1964). G. Devarajan composed the music, and Vayalar Ramavarma wrote the lyrics. This song was performed by P Susheela. Govindan (T. S. Muthiah), who works in Madhavan Thampi's tea farms, has an only daughter named Savithri (Sheela) . Madhavan Thampi (Satyan) is attracted to Savithri after seeing her singing beside the stream one day.
1971-ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ മലയാളചലച്ചിത്രമായ ഒരു പെണ്ണിന്റെ കഥ എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലെ ഒരു ഗാനമാണ് "ശ്രാവണ ചന്ദ്രിക". ഇ. മോസസ് എഴുതി സംവിധാനം ചെയ്തത് കെ.എസ്. സേതുമാധവൻ ആണ്. ഹോളിവുഡ് ബ്ലോക്ക്ബസ്റ്റർ ദി വിസിറ്റ് (1964) അടിസ്ഥാനമാക്കിയാണ് ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ ഇതിവൃത്തം. വയലാർ രാമവർമ എഴുതിയ വരികൾക്ക് ജി.ദേവരാജൻ സംഗീതം പകർന്നു. പി സുശീലയാണ് ഈ ഗാനം ആലപിച്ചത്. മാധവൻ തമ്പിയുടെ തേയിലത്തോട്ടത്തിൽ ജോലി ചെയ്യുന്ന ഗോവിന്ദന് (ടി. എസ്. മുത്തയ്യ) സാവിത്രി (ഷീല) എന്ന ഏക മകളുണ്ട്. മാധവൻ തമ്പി (സത്യൻ) സാവിത്രി ഒരു ദിവസം അരുവിക്കരയിൽ പാടുന്നത് കണ്ടാണ് അവളിൽ ആകൃഷ്ടനാകുന്നത്.
