Snake bite or sarpadamshanam is related to stars during which the bite happens. It is believed that during stars like aayilyam, thiruvathira, makam, vishakam, bharani, karthika and moolam incase snake bite occurs the person can't be bring back to life. Certain planetary combinations in birth chart make the person susceptible for a snake bite. One such instance is Rahu and Mandi together in the 2nd house. The 2nd house is considered to be maraka sthana or position of death as per Indian astrology.
