Sargasangeetham' is a famous poem by Vayalar Ramavarma in 1961. Vayalar Ramavarma, popularly known as Vayalar, was a Malayalam poet and lyricist from India. He received the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award for Poetry in 1962 for this poetry anthology, Sargasangeetham. Vayalar not only wrote many songs in films and plays but also contributed poems to Malayalam literature. It is noteworthy that even the new generation of Malayalam has a taste for film songs through the path led by Vayalar. Vayalar's works were instrumental in the transformation of Malayalam film songwriting. Vayalar's songs have always been number one in terms of popularity.
1961-ലെ വയലാർ രാമവർമയുടെ പ്രശസ്തമായ കവിതയാണ് 'സർഗസംഗീതം'. വയലാർ എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്ന വയലാർ രാമവർമ, ഇന്ത്യയിൽ നിന്നുള്ള ഒരു മലയാള കവിയും ഗാനരചയിതാവുമായിരുന്നു. സർഗസംഗീതം എന്ന ഈ കാവ്യസമാഹാരത്തിന് 1962-ൽ കവിതയ്ക്കുള്ള കേരള സാഹിത്യ അക്കാദമി അവാർഡ് ലഭിച്ചു. വയലാർ സിനിമകളിലും നാടകങ്ങളിലും നിരവധി ഗാനങ്ങൾ രചിക്കുക മാത്രമല്ല മലയാള സാഹിത്യത്തിന് കവിതകൾ സംഭാവന ചെയ്യുകയും ചെയ്തു. വയലാർ നയിച്ച പാതയിലൂടെ മലയാളത്തിലെ പുതുതലമുറയ്ക്ക് പോലും സിനിമാ ഗാനങ്ങളോടുള്ള അഭിനിവേശമുണ്ട് എന്നത് ശ്രദ്ധേയമാണ്. മലയാള ചലച്ചിത്ര ഗാനരചനയുടെ പരിവർത്തനത്തിന് വയലാറിന്റെ കൃതികൾ സഹായകമായിരുന്നു. വയലാറിന്റെ പാട്ടുകൾ ജനപ്രീതിയുടെ കാര്യത്തിൽ എന്നും ഒന്നാമതാണ്.
