Sales Quota

Presentations | English

Quotas motivate the sales reps to develop strategies that enable them to perform at the required goal level. Upon completion of these quotas, it can lead to satisfaction and further motivation, or frustration and lower motivation, if the goal is not accomplished. A sales quota is a set number of sales or a specific revenue amount that a sales management team establishes for a company. Sales managers assign these sales quotas to a sales team or individual salespeople. Countries use quotas in international trade to help regulate the volume of trade between them and other countries. Countries sometimes impose quotas on specific products to reduce imports and increase domestic production. In theory, quotas boost domestic production by restricting foreign competition. A quota is a type of trade restriction where a government imposes a limit on the number or the value of a product that another country can import.
