Since 1954, many Telugu writers have been honoured with the prestigious Sahitya Akademi Award. In this multi-part series, we provide you with the names of all these authors as well as their brief biographies and information about their writings. Covered in this section is Shaik Khaja Hassan, popularly known by his pen name as Devi Priya. He is not only a Telugu poet but is also a journalist known for his political satire. His book titled ‘Gali Rangu’ won the Sahitya Akademi Award in the year 2017. More on his life and his works can be found in this presentation.
